about our feedback programe

  • We want to be the change we want to see in the art world. And we believe that starts with more equality and inclusion of underrepresented artists, but also with doing what no other organization is doing, which is helping our candidates understand why they were not selected and how they can improve. So, as mentioned above, for our third open call we have reached out to a growing list of renowned Artist Consultants and Artist Coaches, so that 50 artists who are not selected can receive career-focused feedback about their proposals during a 30-60 minute video conversation with a professional third party. The idea is for candidates to receive constructive advice of improvement for the future, not about their art or style, but about how to improve the way they present themselves professionally.

    1. Here is the growing list of top Artist Coaches and Consultants candidates will get a chance to receive feedback from:

      • Forest Alethea · Artist Creative Mentor · Tulum, Mexico

      • Lauren Altman · Artist, storyteller, teacher, and consultant. Her work explores the intersection of art and psychology · New York, USA

      • Erica Ando · Career Coach for Artists and founder of The Empowered Artist · New York, USA

      • Daniela Zamora · Founder and Artistic & Executive Director of RICE Initiative · Barcelona, Spain

    2. Artists will be randomly assigned to one of the above mentioned professionals and will be able to schedule the online session once the selection process is completed.

    3. Estimated dates for the feedback sessions: first three weeks of March 2021.
